Savings & Checking

Our members have different savings goals ranging from short-term purchases to long-term nest eggs. That’s why Atchison Village Credit Union (AVCU) has several savings options for you to choose from.

Shares (Savings)

This is our basic shares account. At AVCU, the minimum account balance is only $50, and there is no account maintenance fee.

Share Certificates (Certificates of Deposit or CDs)

We offer three levels of Share Certificates:

  • 6-month term for amounts of $10,000 or more

  • 1-year term for amounts under $10,000

  • 1-year term for amounts of $10,000 or more

Holiday Shares Club

This account helps our members save money during the year for their December holiday spending and has a higher interest rate than on our basic shares account. Holiday Shares Club account balances are paid out each year in early November.

IRA Account (Individual Retirement Account)

Members saving for retirement can make use of our Traditional IRA Accounts. 

Share Draft (Checking)

Whether you prefer the ease of using a debit card or writing checks for your expenses, we have you covered.  Our Share Draft (checking) accounts have no monthly service charge. Members are not required to maintain a minimum balance. 

Debit Card

AVCU offers a debit card that can be in the member’s and joint’s name. The card can be used anywhere Visa cards are accepted, including international and Internet purchases. Please contact us for additional information.

ATMs Available for Atchison Village Credit Union Members

You can use any MoneyPass® ATM.

ATMs in the MoneyPass® network are surcharge free and using these ATMs can save you money.

Android and iPhone users can also download the MoneyPass® app from the iPhone store or the Android Market store.
